TLDR: Be EXTREMELY cautious when signing up/cancelling a Spectrum service or you may be fasley targetted by debt collectors. I have now personally experienced a pattern where Spectrum has disregarded the fact I used my own equipment and does not comprehend how I never received equipment, almost like Spectrum tells their customer service its impossible for that to happen.
I canceled my Spectrum account 2 months ago, and since then Spectrum has made 0 attempts to contact me. Now out of nowhere, I received a bill from a debt collector saying I owed money for equipment that was owned by Spectrum.
When I first signed up for a Spectrum account the salesman I was talking to did not talk about any equipment, but because I have dealt with them before and I know better, I knew to ask them about it. He said yes they will also be sending out equipment to give to me (he also failed to mention the rental fee that comes with it), I immediately told him to not send it because I have my own equipment and mentioned the issues that it caused me in the past. He brushed it off like it wasnt an issue and we continued. Now fast forward a year later I am now being billed for that equipment.
This company is nothing but trouble, if you don't want to gamble with the chance of debt collectors coming after you, I would highly not recommend using this company.
FCC, FTC, and BBB complaints have all been filed now.

FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information#crnt&panel1-1
BBB: https://www.bbb.org/
EDIT: I would also like to emphasize that Spectrum did not attempt to contact me once and sent the debt straight to a debt collector.
