So I’m overhauling both of my bathrooms and I currently have everything stripped to the studs. I am running all new water lines “pex” and for the master shower I am installing electric valves which will be located in the toilet room with an access panel, from there I’ll be running the pex up into the rafters and to the two shower heads. My question is with pex, can it just be placed on top of the rafter 2x4’s and anchored down or do I need to drill through the 2x4’s and put the pex through it.
