This apartment already came furnished with a coffee table, so I reused my old one as a desk! Inspired by youtuber Audrie Storme's cinderblock desk and shelf that I always thought was really cute. All I did was unscrew the legs from the table top and use it as the desktop, with six (8 x 8 x 16in) cinderblocks as the base.
