I am an international student in Phoenix, AZ. I need to replace the broken crowns of my upper central incisors(Two teeth). I consulted a Dentist, who got me an appointment with an endodontic specialist who proposed to get a Root canal for each tooth.
As I don't have any insurance I just got a discount plan called True dental discounts. With this discount, the total service fee will be 1870 for the root canal and 1960 for the crown replacement.
The total will be a Whopping 3830 USD (Not including the 100 I paid for true dental discount). With this price, I could have flown to my home country halfway across the world (and back) twice and got the dental care I needed (In the pre-covid world). Is this normal or can I find dentists who can do it more economically?
