Hello Reddit. I'll start by saying yes I know I/we messed up and I'm not looking for judgmental comments. So please do not comment if that's what you're gonna say.

STORY OF US:

I'm 22 and my GF is 25.

I suffer from an unknown illness that comes and goes, and I've yet to be diagnosed with anything but we think its related to food allergies and or autoimmune issues. It knocks me on my butt and I cannot work or even stand up some days, it gets so bad. I am currently unemployed due to this illness. My girl holds a full time job as an operator. I do try to doordash when I feel up to it but I'm quickly falling behind on my payments. We currently do not rent anywhere as we live with our parents but we'd like to find a place (more need than want as our parents can be overstepping and judgmental) before years end. We found out that she is 6 weeks pregnant and our due date is in April 2021.

DEBT:

I have just over 15k in credit card debt totaling 500 or so monthly in minimum payments. I had this down under 10k at one point but since I'm unemployed its growing back up. I also have a truck lease that totals 665 monthly with insurance included. Here's our monthly expenses below with rent set at 750/month.

Rent 700-850ish (TBD) yet to find a cheap place Truck 665 Truck insurance 100 Electric cost 100 Credit cards/other debts 600 Food 800 Baby 300 per month Gas 200 Phone bills 300

Total expenses per month: $3815

INCOME:

Now for our income. She currently holds a job as an operator who will bring home about 450 a week on 40 hours. So $1800 from her at minimum.

I currently am unemployed but with doordash I can probably chip in an extra grand a month until I feel well enough to work full time again or do doordash full time.

Total monthly income $2800

I should note that she has about 700 saved towards move in costs of an apartment. I currently am in debt in my bank account. (0 saved)

I'm sitting back and looking at this debt to income and scratching my head on how the flying **** were gonna be able to afford this. So I've turned to reddit to see if anyone can help solve this issue.

I'm open to literally ANYTHING. I've tried debt consolidation loans, (yes I know they're a nightmare) and was denied, I've thought about defaulting on my truck but then comes the issue of garnishment of wages and such.

We're trying to apply for state benefits and are in the process with Wic and potentially welfare for me.

I am currently waiting to see if my unemployment claim is approved as I was fired for getting sick and my employer wouldn't accept a doctor note.

I'm at a loss trying to figure out how in the world were gonna afford this. So does anyone here have any suggestions on saving money? Or dealing with this debt while trying to provide for this future baby?
