So basically I’d like to bring my cat out to sea, but she gets sea sick very quickly on our small boat. First thought was a baby cradle, but that would only cover one axis of rotation. Ideally I’d have at least two axis, such that the roll and pitch are covered. The hardest part to address is the damping, otherwise the whole thing eventually starts rocking like crazy. My first prototype was essentially a little hammock made of a blanket at the bottom. On top is a big piece of wood with a screw through it connected to a second piece of wood, and then a third piece of wood, so that the two joints are able to move independently to cover the two axis. It works decently but the damping part is my real issue. I feel like there must be a baby cradle or something I can buy that save me the time of figuring this out.
