I need some advice; I currently work as a software developer for a company that’s mandated that all employees work from home for the rest of the year. Before the pandemic I was in the process of looking for a new job, and, lucky for me I just recently landed a new role at a company that is also having its employees work from home. In the old days I would have given my notice and started working at the new company; however, a friend of mine recommended that, given the nature of my job (project driven) I could very well do both jobs until I have to return to the office. I thought about it and he’s right, I can easily do both and not have any issues.

My current employer doesn’t have a ‘no moonlight’ policy but, naturally, I’m sure my boss wouldn’t be too happy to know I have a second full time job. So people of reddit I ask, if you were in this position would you keep working both jobs or would you give your current employer two weeks like in the old days? Also know that when one of them requires me to return to the office I’ll be handing in my notice (I can’t exist in two places at the same time).
