Recently got a speeding ticket. Anyways, about a week after my ticket (going 77 in a 55), I received a letter that informed me I could do an online traffic school and the case will be dismissed. Also about half the cost of the ticket.
This works out great since I was planning on showing up to court and asking for traffic school.
In a nutshell, if you get a speeding ticket, wait a few weeks before you pay it. I imagine they want people staying out of courts. You may get lucky!
TLDR: don't speed.
