Hello, fellow frugal fellows,
Today I will be reviewing the Amazon Essentials Midweight Bomber Jacket in Black that I got on sale for a whopping $10 US. I will review the garment under the headings of Durability, Fit, and Function to determine the Overall Value. Each heading will be scored out of 10 for a total maximum of 30.

Durability 8/10

The jacket featured single line stitching throughout the majority of the jacket which leads me to believe while it is of standard durability, it is nothing to write home about. However, the jacket feels like it is made of sturdy fabric throughout and is comprised of a quilter polyester lining, polyester filling, and the same shell. The zipper is a YKK zipper and hence its durability is spoken for but it ain't no RIRI.

Fit 10/10

The Jacket fits true to size and I, a 5'4, 117-pound male, fit perfectly in a size XS. The jacket fits well without constricting movement or mobility. (It is important to note, however, that the jacket is much easier to put on when I put my arm through one sleeve and then raise my arms to slide my other arm through the other sleeve). The jacket's lining is smooth and doesn't seem like it will catch on any part of me. Further, the elastic jersey materials on the arms, and waist taper it well.

Function 8.5/10 (Situational)

The jacket is perfect for temperatures between 17-26 degrees Celsius or 62-78 degrees Fahrenheit in my opinion. I live in a tropical climate and hence I will use it on early morning commutes, in air-conditioned environments, or from the evening into the night. The jacket as it is made of polyester is water-resistant and I tested it by emptying a bottle of water onto it while wearing it. The water beaded up and slipped right off which is perfect for the rainy seasons here in my country, possibly in conjunction with a rain hat.

Overall Value 26.5/30

Overall, the jacket is a steal in my book and worth every penny I paid. I plan on writing an update at the 6 months or 1-year mark if y'all are interested. Please feel free to tell me your thoughts or ask questions. This is my first review here and I hope it helped anyone interested.
