Hey guys I wanted to see if I can get your advice to see what the next step for me is. I graduated with my bachelor's degree at 22. Unfortunately I didn't find a career path that suited me until now so I've been stuck in entry level positions for a while. At first I was set on law school so I worked at a law firm as a paralegal, and after a year of working there I decided it wasn't for me. Then I took a job at a catering company as an assistant and got stuck there for a year. Then I landed a job as a tech company as a Sales Coordinator, which I will have been with for about a year coming in July. I make about 32K right now. Was about to get a raise, then the whole COVID thing happened.
Financials right now: Currently, my sister has been gracious enough to let me stay with her and her husband in their house for $500 a month in LA. I started a Roth IRA in December and have made payments and have completed payments for 2019 and only $3,500 left for 2020. I finished off paying student loans back in 2019 and am debt free. Currently saving for a house, but with the income I'm making, its been hard to save and make contributions to Roth IRA and 401K. I do have money stored in a high interest savings account, but I'm trying not to touch that money as I'm keeping it for an emergency fund.
Besides the obvious, "you just need to make more money," is there anything else I could be doing to help supplement my income or any changes I could make to put me in a better position to make more money in the future? Currently working on spending less money and cooking at home. I want to start getting into trading stocks, but I haven't dont much research and don't have too much money to play around with.
Let me know what your advice is! Open to all feedback!
