Our current vacuum just gave up the ghost, and I'm looking for a replacement that's ideally under $500. We have mostly hard floors with a bit of carpeting. I'm not too concerned if it's bagged or bagless, I just need something that's going to filter what it sucks up well (seasonal allergies and dust be killing me) and hold up well over time. I've been looking at Miele canister vacuums but can't seem to find much on how well they hold up over time.
