Not sure if 'BIFL' applies here because I'm not looking for something that lasts a lifetime, but I've noticed a lot of duffel bags are basically just cheap crap. I've also noticed that most subreddits and websites that recommend 'emergency bags' tend to focus on backpacks for running through the woods. I'll always have my car with me, so I'd prefer something that can hold more things.
The Thule in question is a Motion XL, and has dimensions of 79 x 31.5 x 15 in, but it has a ridge along the top that extends further than 15in in height. I can fit a decent amount of stuff in there (last time I used it I had my regular cheap duffel, four vacuum sealed bags full of bedding and pillows, about 30 suits on hangers, and a portable air compressor).
