So I’ve replaced the oven element in my oven once before. Easy enough job for a novice. The element burnt out again and I figured could do it again but didn't look up any instructions first. 🤦🏽‍♂️So I get started and unscrew it from the back of the stove. Those who know probably already recognize my first problem. I didn't disconnect the power first. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ So when I start to pull the old element out, a lil spark flies. I immediately recognize my error by pulling my hand back, ensuring I'm no longer touching anything. I pull out the oven, disconnect the power and proceed with the swap. When I'm done, I reconnect the power and try turning the oven on. Nothing. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ I try turning on the stove top elements. Nothing. I go downstairs to check the breaker, I'm not even sure if anything is wrong. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️Did I completely mess up the oven or the electrical? Anything this novice can try to get the oven working again? Any help would be appreciated.Edit: added photo via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3drHH1d
