I am currently in the process of replacing some moldy caulking around my tub, and I am at the phase where I am removing the remnants of the old caulking. I used 100% silicone before, without the mold protection, and I am having an awful time getting the leftover stuff off. I tried the 91% alcohol and a brush, but it didn't seem to have much effect. It's a plastic tub/enclosure, and I am afraid I'll tear it up if I go scraping to hard on it. Does it have to be 100% clean of the old caulking to get a complete watertight seal with the new stuff? Is there some trick that I can try to get the old stuff off? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3dLbO30
