To start off, I have this TV stand: https://ift.tt/2Y4ZrJt. In my shortcomings, I wanted to have this stand and a 65" TV but neglected to check the weight capacity of the stand itself, thinking that it'll be alright. From my own research, 65" TV's can weight up to around 65 lbs which outstrips the recommended weigh capacity of the top panel of 44 lbs by 11 lbs. From emailing the product question representative, I've been told that the TV stand in question cannot safely support a 65" TV due to it's weight capacity. With some thinking and comparisons to other stands, I thought that if I installed more support legs then maybe it'd support a heavier TV. (E.g. comparison to something like this https://ift.tt/2YcB6BA plan is to go to Home Depot/Lowe's to get 2 wooden legs (9.45" x 1.5" x 1.5") to install in the bottom center of the stand. Does this plan check out?Link to imgur for pictures: https://ift.tt/2BDU10o 3rd picture is an example of want I'm planning on doing.Additional details that may be relevant:Each long panel is about 1" thick and made of "manufactured wood"Top panel supposedly supports only 44 lbsMiddle panel supports 11 lbsBottom most panel supports 33 lbs via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2UfdJWJ
