Hey folks, I’ve never had the chance to own one of these majestic machines to preface. Played with one today tho.
Buy, buy, buy if you have a large family/larger loads!
This gentleman I helped out on my job today had one of the best washers I’ve ever seen in terms of quality. I didn’t need to do any repairs but took the opportunity to check out his 12 year old speed queen as I was looking at his 5 year old dryer that had a simple thermal fuse issue.
Simple, and very well built compared to today’s standards. Maybe not as efficient in terms of water use but these are pretty much built for laundry centers abuse but to be used at home.
With that said don’t get newer ge dryers.. over engineered like most of their appliances.
