I thought that floor lamps were expensive. Looking on Amazon proved this, until I looked elsewhere. Wal-Mart was about half the price, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I decided to hop on over to the Target app to do a quick search and wa-la! $9 lamp and the kiddos cannot easily break it because the shade is plastic. It's also the color I wanted.
Previously we had a used lamp from Goodwill that didn't have a shade. That said lamp broke. I feel so dumb for assuming and not looking around to begin with for an affordable option. I don't remember how much I spent on the Goodwill lamp, but I did spend the time trying to find a lamp shade that fit it, without luck. I literally had to go to a different location, buy it (I had spied it recently before) and then go back to return it. Lesson learned.
