26(F) Got divorced about one year ago and have a divorce decree that states my ex spouse is responsible for paying a loan in full that I am a co-signer on (approx: 9000$) and a credit card that I am named holder (approx: 4000$). Since the divorce he has paid late multiple times on both. He has now informed me that he is filing for bankruptcy. What does that mean for me, will I be held responsible for the debt even though he signed to be responsible for both? Is there anything I can do to protect myself (should I talk to a lawyer...etc)?
