I made a rookie mistake building my deck - I didnt line up all the joists ahead of time and organize them by thickness. We had almost half of them up in various spots on the freestanding deck before noticing they are all 1-4/8th off from each other. I tried removing one, but holy s@# joist hangers are bomb proof. What do I do? I can easily plane the tops until they are all flat, but I think the thickness variation is due to how wet certain boards were. So.. is this a case of fix it now and itll look for for a year and then look like crap for life once the wood dries up... or a case of leave it and itll look a little wavy for a year until the wood dries out then itll be fine?we started putting similar ones together once we noticed and I have a few more to put up tomorrow. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Mk6wQB
