So off my family room I have concrete slab (10x20). I was thinking about building a wooden floating deck over the slab. The concrete is in good shape. So do elevate the ground contact grade lumber joist with something so that it doesn't touch the concrete or do I lay it on the slab. Reason being, the drop from the family room to the slab is about 7&1/2 inches. So there isn't much to work with if I want the floors to be somewhat same height. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2zcGWdH
