Does anyone have their own stuff that is high quality but also actually useful to know that we should buy? I wish someone had given me a list twenty years ago of things to buy that would have saved me time and inconvenience. Any sort of useful time saving gadgets or things usually not though of to buy and have on hand? Here's my list of things that I actually own and can vouch for.
Two Duvets/Comforters. No more fighting over the blankets and for the few times you make the bed it looks fine to have one on top of the other. I have the linespa comforter and the Wapiti Duvert cover. Both excellent.
Great Flashlight. I have two High Noon Flashlights. Both are quality, have lasted me a while and are better than any little rinky dink flashlight.
Batteries. Always have at least 3 packs on hands. The Amazon batteries do the job just fine.
I always have GE light bulbs on hand as a backup to every lightbulb in the house.
EZ Duz it can opener. Rusts quickly but still lasts and truly does make a difference on ease of use.
A junk drawer full of Zebra pens. Cheap but high quality.
Multiple OXO Kitchen shears. Last forever. Buy more than one pair. You can never have enough scissors.
Milwaukee Brushless lithium ion cordless drill. Easy enough for anyone to use. More powerful than stuff from ten years ago. Pay the money, this thing is a beast.
A good ratchet set. Stop messing with wrenches, it's not the 1920's.
HEX bolt kit for allen wrenches. Every-time you assemble furniture are you using the little Allen wrench they provide. What if I told you you could be done in about half the time? Milwaukee again makes a great set.
Computer stuff- two Dell monitors. Quality stuff and using two monitors will change your life. More efficient and more fun. Once you use two monitors in everyday life you will be unable to go back to a one monitor world.
LIBA back and neck massager. Don't waste money on gadgets and electronics that can't reach everywhere. Most back aches are just muscles that need to be massaged. Buy this thing and use it once a day. Will change your life.
