my dad works at a senior care facility as a janitor. he has diabetes, high blood pressure, and he’s a smoker so he would very much be considered high risk. he’s terrified & wants to quit but quitting wouldn’t allow him to apply for unemployment benefits. his work place doesn’t have an HR department that he can contact so we’re just not sure what to do. would it be in his best interest to continue working there but look for a new job in the meantime? I’m not sure if there’s any assistance we can look into. we can’t afford for him to lose his income. any advice welcome.
