So, i myself an am independent contractor but my girlfriend works for Macys, they recently stopped paying alll employees and suggested that they apply for unemployment.
Weve had issues getting on the florida unemployment website and when we do the connection is usually lost, im assuming due to extremely heavy traffic at this time, she may be claimed as a dependent on her mothers taxes and she was technically part time at macys.
Where looking to figure out if it is possible to receive the benefits of unemployment and if it is worth even applying for it.
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!
