Ok, so a little background for this information to work correctly. In the past, while my mother, sister and i were living in the same house. Our electric bill was no more than $150. Now after my sister and I have moved out, my mother and her boyfriends electric bill is $500+. I have checked all the obvious components, her hot water heater is working fine. she does laundry once a week on an HE washer and dryer. she DOES NOT use her central heat pump or AC. She has a wood burner or opens windows. The main energy users are the hot water heater and dyer. However i seem to think she has some kind a parasitic draw like when a car keeps dying while parked. OR someone has tapped into her electricity and is being charged for it without knowing. Any advice someone can give would be very much appreciated.
