Just regular old conditioner. About a year ago I starting having terrible reactions to all shaving foams and gels I was using. My face would go all red and stingy right after shaving. I must've spent >$100 trying to find something that didn't sting. Then my girlfriend told me that she just uses conditioner when shaving her legs, and told me to try that. I said fuck it and gave it a go.
It's waaayy better for sensitive skin like mine, and it's just as good as other shaving paraphernalia. Some tips for doing this:
-
Lather it in your hands a bit to warm it up, because it's cold on your face if you don't.
-
Do it directly before a shower. It can be annoying to wash excess conditioner off your face after a shave, and it's much easier in the shower.
-
Buy conditioner in the big value size bottles! But if you're on this subreddit you probably already do this for conditioner and shampoo.
