I decided to do a similar AMA here since the other AMA is just a crosspost. Like the OP in the other post, I have a relatively small and simple budget. But unlike the other post, I'll be here to answer questions (I'll be checking for questions today and tomorrow; I have nothing better to do)

About me: I'm 32f, live near downtown Denver, USA, and work at a restaurant (obviously not now but I can go back once restaurants are opened)

My budget per month

  • Rent, utilities included: $600
  • Water, delivered: $30
  • Cellphone: $25
  • Spotify, includes Hulu: $10
  • Weed: $100-200
  • Toilet paper: $5 (but my bidet just came in)

I don't buy food. Since January 1st this year I've been trying to eat a freegan diet, meaning I only eat food that others are throwing away. I haven't been perfect but I'm proud of my progress. I plan to stay freegan as long as possible during this pandemic.

I make more than my budget, but anything extra goes into my savings. My eventual plan is to move to an off-grid rural, collectivist community where money is meaningless.
