Im in texas and im legally obligated to cover my kids. I was unfortunately laid off last week so my insurance ends 4/30
Im trying desperately to find a new job, but everyone has put hiring on pause, especially at my job/level. I had some interest straight away but now its quiet.
I can obviously do cobra i guess, but TBH ive not been without a job for a single day in close to 20yrs. Totally new experience for me.
I really just need to cover my kiddos with bare minimum until i can find a job again. All these websites seem scammy, and want my income and im like i dont effing know. All depends on if i can find a job again and get approved for unemployment etc.
Hoping someone has suggestions since ive never had insurance outside of jobs. 20+ years ago i just went without like the dumb kid i was ;)
