Today my dryer stopped in the middle of a cycle with a bit of a loud popping sound. I took it apart and found out that the drive belt had gone bad. I paid up for the GE one so I could have it today but theres others on Amazon for $10. My thought process is if it's already broken how much worse can I make it? Obviously that mindset doesn't apply to everything but it did in this situation. Dryers are fairly simple machines and you can get plenty of longevity out of one of you're willing to make some repairs. It's also worth noting that somebody else gave this dryer to me because they bought a new set. I've been using it for four years and I hope to get a few more out of it.
