About 3 months ago I went through my past Groupons that were now only worth what I had paid. I discovered half the businesses had closed permanently & some others were either now unable to process Groupons or didn't know how to use a partial voucher. I got back over $400 in Groupon Bucks, which I mostly spent on goods. I also pay $5 per month for Groupon Select which gets me 25% off Local deals & 15% & free shipping on goods. There is a caveat with this: Groupon had been bleeding money in the millions for 2 quarters before the pandemic. I have a strong feeling they won't survive. They're doing away w/goods in the 3rd quarter of this year. So this advice is timely. Lastly, if you are going to contact Groupon for credit, they will tell you that you must spend the credit on a Local deal. I wanted goods, so I sorted all offers by price & have bought (2) $0.20 & (1) $0.80 Local deals which satisfy the requirement & freed up the rest of my $ for luggage & face cream. Hope this helps someone.
