My partner and I use credit cards for all of our expenses excluding our mortgage and power bill. We pay the cards off every month. My partner keeps track of discounts and specials that come with each of our cards every month and we use specific cards for specific purchases dependant on the deal (gas, groceries, etc). We accrued lots of Southwest Rapid Rewards points that we're not going to use on flights in the new future so we were able to cash them out for Amazon gift cards. I got $400 in gift cards today and I will use that money to order gift cards for our local grocery store. $400 in groceries goes a long way. Almost all cards offer benefits that you have to research to take advantage of and trust me, it's worth the effort.
