I see a lot of frugal post about rice and beans, but I really do not like beans.
Just as an alternative you can use eggs ($2-3a dozen) and make fried rice. Add some frozen veggies ($1 dollartree, or usually $2-3 supermarket) to it and you got yourself a really cheap and filling meal. Balanced with protein, carbs and fiber.
Just an FYI that there’s frugal ways to eat besides rice and beans.
