I want to make a cutting board and some meat plates out of wood slices but they keep cracking when they dry. When researching the subject everyone points to Pentacryl. On the Pentacryl F.A.Q's they sayAlthough Pentacryl is considered non-toxic, it is not registered as food grade. Therefore, we cannot endorse that it can be used on items intended for use with food. The slices come from a Cupressus tree. Here are images of the new and dried slices. How can I ensure no cracks when drying the slices? Thanks for reading :) via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/38UPstk
