Thanks to covid 19 Nothing is being wasted. Im making sandwiches out of the luncheon meat I usually buy for my pup. I’m puréeing handfuls of frozen cherry tomatoes from last years garden to extend Pasta sauces. DH used a forgotten box of Raisin Bran to make muffins. Last night we only used 4 taco shells so we can get two more meals from the box of 12. The can of diced potatoes I usually use all of for a brunch stir fry was divided into thirds. We bought a big bags of carrots, we made banana bread. In the past I’d indiscriminately toss anything I considered past its prime...but now everything is in play. Even those annoying packs of Southwest airline pretzels that fill up our snack drawer...gonna make trail mix. We straightened up our freezer and dumped two remaining eggs rolls and a lonely chicken tender into the air fryer for snack. Finally cooked up a half packet of cheddar cheese broccoli rice side dish that was cowering in the deepest recess of the shelf. These are some different days.
