We're getting reports that even some of the most successful companies in the world are laying off most of their employees.
Le Bernerdin --- a top 10 world restaurant --- is one example. They laid off their entire staff. There are so many other examples. It's seems naturally to wonder why the most successful companies don't have a emergency fund for a few months in order to at least do something other than lay off everyone, but I certainly don't know what it's like to run a business like this.
