I'm 40 and have been thinking about investing for the better part of a decade, but never had the money in the bank to do anything about it. I finally landed a decent job a couple years ago and have gotten serious about saving. I've been able to stash away a small nest egg in a high yield savings and would like to start investing a small portion of it. I'm a bit intimidated by the prospect so I'm here looking for advice.
