Zero experience with any type of carpentry, trim work etc. planning to install 2.5" polystrene crown molding around my whole house tomorrow. Been watching videos and seeing some people use cope saw and cut into one side at a 45 degree angle and but into the other side which is uncut and pressed up to the corner. others cut miters on both ends. which way is the best way to do it especially for a beginner. I'm guessing the first method would be faster and easier but I don't know. and I ordered a stanley miter box. is a jig necessary or can't I just make a mark on the box and eye ball. no clue so any helpful advice from others with experience would be very helpful. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2UIG2h5
