I know this might be an unfitting question, but I love this community and think someone might have helpful advice on what I should do. For many years now, I've had very serious mental health issues, specifically relating to depression and anxiety, that I've known I need to get help with. As a dependent recent adult, my parents have never been very open to talking about mental health struggles, and there is a big stigma in my family. The first and only time I tried to talk about it was at my worst 6 years ago, when they dismissed the request for aid that I'd spent months mustering up. For the past year and a half or so, I've experienced significant derealization, which largely relates to anxiety. I just need to talk to someone and figure something out so that I can feel better. Some of the stigma associated with mental health is in the cost, and as a tremendously frugal person, the price of therapy sessions and stuff personally worry me. I was wondering if you all had any advice on the cheapest options for assistance. I really do not want to approach my parents about this and have been considering any ways I could individually seek help with the money I have. Thank you for any advice.
