I am a bartender at a gay bar. I have noticed that recently, several customers have been having issues paying with their debit cards. All of these debit cards are from the same bank, which is a Christain credit union.
These customers say that this problem doesn't arise anywhere else except here, so it appears that the bank is blocking the transactions.
I would like to know if this is legal. I tried to call Visa and they told me to contact the card issuer. I then called the bank and the person who answered the phone basically said we refuse to comment.
