So I have a company car that I can use for personal use except vacations. I also had my own car that I kept and used if I did needed it. But haven't really needed it in the 3 years of having the company car. Said car recently died and needs a new engine. It isn't worth it to me to fix, so I was going to sell it as is and use my company car.

I asked my boss and he said that is what he would do, as he hasn't owned a car in a couple decades for the same reason. So right now I am not worried about them taking it away.

Now I heard that if you cancel and not have insurance for any amount of time then get it again, as if I get a different job and need a car again, the premium would be more expensive. Does anyone know if that is true?
