Hi All,I recently had a bunch of waterproofing work done on my basement, which is carpeted. Part of reconstruction will be re-laying the carpet that's already there. Can I basically just do this by buying a bunch of tack strips from home depot, hammering them into the concrete subfloor, and just putting the padding/carpet back where it was and pressing it into the tack strip? Or do I actually need additional tools like a knee-kicker and/or stretcher or something for it to actually turn out well?Just want to know if I should just do it myself or if it's worth paying a contractor the $350 they've estimated to re-lay my carpet. Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/36UFQi0
