It seems to me that there are different methodologies in order to increase portfolio size while minimizing volatility and drawdowns (e.g. three fund portfolio, all weather portfolio). However, these don't maximize gains. Let's say I have a 25 year time horizon. My understanding is that this should be long enough so that drawdowns don't matter. In this case, I'm just looking to only maximize my returns without speculation (e.g. bitcoin or penny stocks). What vehicles I should be investing in without picking individual stocks (e.g. international funds, real estate, small cap, etc) that would maximize returns? Is there a tool I can use to gauge the historical performances of these vehicles?
