I'm almost 30, and I've been thinking about doing it for years. I'm not a power reader, but I probably spend a few hundred dollars a year on books (mostly used off Amazon). I finally signed up for a library card today, checked out 5 books, and I feel like a kid in a candy shop. 1) It's free. 2) The selection is great. 3) Since books are due after a certain amount of time, it actually motivates me to stick with a book and read it all the way through. I still enjoy purchasing gently used copies of books that I really love and will re-read several times over, but this is going to save me a ton of money in the long run, and I've rekindled my passion for reading.
