Starters, I know questions like this get posted all the time, I’m on mobile and my search function isn’t cooperating so I apologize for the individual post.
My girlfriend moved from NJ to MD in August and continued working for the same company, in a new location. She just her W2 and is concerned that MD taxes were not withheld.
Can she just file the way her w2 is written (NJ only) does she need to do a partial resident filing? Is there such a thing as a reduced rate for folks that only lived in the state for a couple of months of the year?
