I've been thinking a lot about becoming financially independent. This month has certainly been a big one, we went over our credit card bill for all of 2019 and realized that I had overspent a bunch on things that didn't matter to me truly. My husband has also realized how tired he is of working for "the man" and we've talked seriously about other things we could be doing where we'd have more freedom in working for ourselves. We also decided this month to dip into savings and pay off the car for good. This leaves us with 30k left in student loans, which I figured out we can have paid off in 2.5 years and still set aside some savings. I calculated it today and in order to live basically our current lifestyle without the debt we would need 30k a year. Its actually really reasonable I think. I'd just like to hear your thoughts.
