Hey guys, portfolio question for you:
I am currently considering going 50% reit, 50% s&p. I have a pension with my job, which is why I feel I can take the risk, currently don’t own a home, and have cheap rent.
I figure that since I don’t have physical property real estate exposure that I can take on a bigger % with the reits. The reasoning behind the large % reit is that I like dividends and I think it will help me stay in the game and not sell in a bear market. The reits will be in a tax advantaged account.
Anyone else have a larger than suggested reit allocation?
