My grocery store had apples on sale: $3.99 for a 6 lbs bag this past week. Local apples (grown in the province). But a couple of days ago, they had a flash promo: get $10 back when you spend $25 on produce.

So I bought 7 bags of these apples for $27.93. Less $10, it was effectively $17.93 for 42 lbs of apples, or about $0.43/lbs. That's an awesome price!

But I had a plan for all those apples of course! I have a dehydrator, so every day I'm dehydrating the apples. This is the best way I have to preserve them. They'll last a really long time this way -- assuming I don't just gobble them all up! I do have every intention of sharing my apple snacks too.

My dehydrator isn't so big, so it's going to take a week to 10 days, I think, to dehydrate everything.

I already ate half of my first batch though! 🤣 I expect to have apples for months, but who knows! 🤞😋🤣

Afiyet olsun!

PS - Prices in Canadian dollars. This would be US dollars $0.33/lbs, or euro €0.14/kg.
