Is there a generally advised percentage of ones income that should be allowed for pleasure relative to what you make?
I'm going to be on my own for the first time in my life soon after leaving a very abusive situation. I've created a comprehensive budget and I'm happy with how everything is laid out. I'll be saving 23% of my monthly income after all of my necessities are taken care of. which leaves me with roughly 20% for personal spending. Is this too high? should be saving even more? I want to enjoy my life and have the experiences that I've been denied. I don't want to go overboard but I also don't want to deprive myself.
