Hi there DIYers,I posted this on the reddit Herman Miller and to be honest they probably just are elitists or pay the money for it. Apparently no one has done this mod over there and they told me just to pay for the seat. The seat you are looking at costs $200 just to replace that which I refuse to pay for (you can literally buy a mesh chair at that price or thats half the cost of a aeron miller chair via certain versions). This was found in the garage while cleaning it up. Its 10+ years old. Taking a look at how it is constructed, the mesh is held in by the plastic outer rim most likely glued/stapled and screwed. Looking on online I've found some nylon mesh but obviously nothing like this. I feel confident that if I can find a similar mesh this would be a simple mesh swap and I would document this as well. Wanted to know if anyone has attempted to replace just the mesh as that is my main goal and at a fraction of the price obviously.Looking for any ideas.
