Hi,
So, over a decade ago when I lived with my dad I used to be an authorized user on his credit card accounts. I have since moved out and became independent but for some reason he still has some cards in my name reflecting in my credit score.
My dad used to be very good with money all his life but after my mom died, he met a gold-digging lady and made her his wife and his spending started skyrocketing on an excessive number of concerts and the like. Whatever, it's his life and he still made payments on time. At least then.
However, recently my credit score has been tanking and it's all due to his cards either becoming delinquent or maxed out.
I've asked him for months when I first noticed a slight drop to please take me off. He said okay, and as is typical for him (he's always been the type to never get around to doing what he says) he never did.I did find one of the problematic cards, called in and removed myself.
Problem is, the other accounts I have no idea about. I don't physically have them and don't even remember owning such a card. I've asked him again to please remove me or just give me the information so I can remove myself and he just leaves me on read and ignores me.
So, is there a way I can find out what cards are in my name so that I can then call the number and remove myself since the primary account holder is being too lazy to help me and no longer wants to be responsible?
We live in different cities. As a worst case scenario, I can probably drive over there and search his home for the cards if he still refuses to help in person. But no guarantee he will cooperate or if I can even find them since he's also a hoarder.
Thanks for any advice.
