Looking to add an outside light on a basement entrance. The best option I can see for a power source is to extend off an outlet about 3-4 feet directly above it on the second floor exterior wall. I’d add the new switch in the basement just below where the new outside light will be, which is again just below the second floor outlet. What’s the best way to run this wire from the second floor down within an exterior wall? I’ve looked up flex bits but seems problematic when insulation is involved, not knowing exactly where the drill bit is going and possibly getting bunched up/creating gaps in insulation. Anyone have experience on how to best accomplish this? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Lc4D8B
